Uni Butter Potato Pancake (Sea Urchin Butter & Gamjajeon)

Seoul Forest wine bar Domix uni butter potato pancake appetizer

Seoul Forest wine bar Domix serves a standout appetizer called Uni (sea urchin) butter with potato pancake, a dish that highlights the restaurant’s creative Korean–Western fusion. The crispy potato pancake is paired with rich uni butter on the side, and when eaten together, it melts softly in your mouth. The flavor is gently salty yet smooth and creamy, making it an easy and elegant starter.
It’s light enough as an appetizer and pairs especially well with a glass of white wine.

Gochujang Charcoal-Grilled Beef with Cabbage Wrap

Seoul Forest wine bar Domix gochujang charcoal grilled beef with cabbage wrap

Seoul Forest wine bar Domix offers a deeply satisfying dish called Gochujang charcoal-grilled beef, wrapped inside lightly cooked cabbage.
Inside the cabbage, thinly sliced beef is coated in gochujang sauce and grilled over charcoal, giving it a bold smoky aroma and a spicy kick.

What makes this dish special is how it’s balanced: when eaten with grilled watermelon and fromage blanc, the heat is gently softened, creating a refreshing contrast. Even for someone who doesn’t usually enjoy watermelon, this combination works surprisingly well.
Rich, smoky, spicy, yet balanced — easily one of the most memorable plates of the night.

Seoul Forest Wine Bar Domix’s Cheongpodo & Mashed Egg is a refreshing appetizer that balances sweetness, creaminess, and texture in a surprisingly elegant way. Fresh green grapes are paired with softly mashed eggs and a light mustard note, creating a cool and smooth bite that feels gentle on the palate.
The topping, made from finely ground dried shrimp, adds a subtle seafood aroma and a crisp texture, while rusks bring an extra crunch. It’s a well-balanced dish that captures both flavor and texture, making it a great starter with wine.

🥄 Chocolate Mousse with Truffle & Gochujang

chocolate mousse with truffle and gochujang at Seoul Forest wine bar Domix

Seoul Forest Wine Bar Domix once served this chocolate mousse made with truffle and gochujang, a combination that immediately sparked curiosity.
The idea of mixing spicy gochujang with chocolate sounded unexpected, so I ordered it purely out of interest.
Surprisingly, it worked — really well.
The subtle heat from the gochujang slowly comes through, while the deep chocolate flavor keeps everything balanced and smooth.
It was my first time experiencing how spicy notes and chocolate can complement each other, and it was genuinely impressive.
Unfortunately, this dessert is no longer available, but it remains one of the most memorable dishes from the menu.
