The restaurant is located in a slightly hidden area between <strong>Yongsan Station, Samgakji Station, and Yongsan Park Station</strong>, but many locals visit because the food is worth the trip.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">When we visited around <strong>6:20 PM</strong>, there were already about three teams waiting. Luckily, the turnover was quite fast, so we were able to enter after about <strong>20 minutes of waiting</strong>.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">The menu at Janggun Bossam is simple and focused mainly on different bossam options. Prices are reasonable, which is one reason why the restaurant is popular with locals.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Because of the good value and generous portions, it’s common to see a short waiting line during dinner time.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-regular-font-size">Simple Korean Soup Served as a Side</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="966" height="966" src="https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-98e63fc9-e4cc-486c-b612-75dddd956989.jpg" alt="light Korean soup with bean sprouts served at Janggun Bossam Yongsan" class="wp-image-1840" style="width:700px" srcset="https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-98e63fc9-e4cc-486c-b612-75dddd956989.jpg 966w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-98e63fc9-e4cc-486c-b612-75dddd956989-300x300.jpg 300w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-98e63fc9-e4cc-486c-b612-75dddd956989-150x150.jpg 150w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-98e63fc9-e4cc-486c-b612-75dddd956989-768x768.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px" /></figure>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">At Janggun Bossam, a light Korean soup is served as a basic side dish with the meal. The broth contains bean sprouts and has a clean, refreshing flavor.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">For many Koreans, this kind of soup feels very familiar since it is often served in school meals. It helps balance the rich taste of the pork bossam.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">The assorted bossam platter comes with generous slices of tender pork, fresh lettuce, napa cabbage, and various side dishes. The combination of pork, kimchi, and vegetables makes each wrap flavorful and satisfying.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">The portion size was quite large, and it was more than enough for two people to share comfortably.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-regular-font-size">Doenjang Stew Served with Rice</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="966" height="966" src="https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-15d897fb-e36e-4af5-adfe-7fc6da961278.jpg" alt="doenjang stew served with bossam at Janggun Bossam Yongsan" class="wp-image-1842" style="width:700px" srcset="https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-15d897fb-e36e-4af5-adfe-7fc6da961278.jpg 966w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-15d897fb-e36e-4af5-adfe-7fc6da961278-300x300.jpg 300w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-15d897fb-e36e-4af5-adfe-7fc6da961278-150x150.jpg 150w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/SE-15d897fb-e36e-4af5-adfe-7fc6da961278-768x768.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px" /></figure>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">When you order rice at Janggun Bossam, a bowl of <strong>doenjang stew</strong> is served together. The warm soybean paste soup pairs nicely with the rich pork bossam.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">It’s a simple but comforting Korean side dish that many locals enjoy with their meal.</p>

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8634158621822026" crossorigin="anonymous"></script> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:block; text-align:center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-8634158621822026" data-ad-slot="4132435591"></ins> <script> (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); </script>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-regular-font-size">🧾 Final thoughts</h2>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Janggun Bossam Yongsan is a local Korean restaurant worth visiting if you want to try traditional bossam in Seoul. The tender pork, fresh vegetables, and flavorful kimchi create a great balance, and the portions are generous. Locals also love the place for its reasonable prices, comforting side dishes like soup and doenjang stew, and the satisfying combination of bossam with spicy octopus. Because of these reasons, it’s common to see a short waiting line during dinner time.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">One of the highlights of <strong>Songridan-gil Jjukkumi</strong> at Park Boksoon Jjukkumi is the perilla leaf and fish roe combo. At the self-bar, you can refill mayo, perilla leaves, and seaweed flakes anytime. Wrapping jjukkumi with perilla leaf, fish roe, and a bit of mayo creates a flavorful bite with spicy, nutty, and crunchy textures.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-regular-font-size">🌶️ Mild for Koreans, Spicy for Me!</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="966" height="966" src="https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_01.jpg" alt="spicy jjukkumi and pork belly sizzling on a hotplate" class="wp-image-649" style="width:700px" srcset="https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_01.jpg 966w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_01-300x300.jpg 300w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_01-150x150.jpg 150w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_01-768x768.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px" /></figure>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">The <strong>Songridan-gil Jjukkumi</strong> here is customizable, and you can choose your spice level. I ordered the mild version, but it was still quite spicy. The hotplate comes with pork belly, bean sprouts, rice cakes, and green onions sizzling together in a rich red sauce, creating the smoky aroma typical of Korean hotplate dishes.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-regular-font-size">🍳 Fluffy Steamed Egg with Cheese</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="931" height="931" src="https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_06.jpg" alt="fluffy steamed egg topped with cheese at Park Boksoon Jjukkumi" class="wp-image-650" style="width:700px" srcset="https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_06.jpg 931w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_06-300x300.jpg 300w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_06-150x150.jpg 150w, https://0ddungs.kr/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/KakaoTalk_20251112_201519674_06-768x768.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 931px) 100vw, 931px" /></figure>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Among all the sides, the <strong>steamed egg topped with cheese</strong> completely stole the spotlight. It’s light, airy, and creamy — exactly what you need after a few bites of spicy octopus. When the cheese stretches as you scoop it, it feels like a small reward after all that heat 🧀✨</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">A spicy dish like <strong>Songridan-gil Jjukkumi</strong> pairs well with a refreshing drink. The restaurant serves highballs and draft beer, and the fizzy, citrusy highball was especially good for balancing the heat.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph">No <strong>Songridan-gil Jjukkumi</strong> meal feels complete without fried rice. After the main dish, the staff mixes rice, seaweed, and leftover jjukkumi sauce on the hotplate. The result is smoky, chewy, and full of flavor.</p>
